Football Knower (footballknower.com) is built to be played without handing over your life. There are no accounts, no logins, no ads, and no third-party trackers. This page explains exactly what we do collect and why.

1. What We Collect

• Leaderboard submissions (optional). If you choose to join the leaderboard, we store the handle you type in, your drafted roster, your scheme, and your season result. Your handle and result are displayed publicly. If you never submit, nothing about your games is stored on our servers.
• An anonymized abuse signal. When a season is submitted, we store a salted one-way hash of the submitting IP address. It cannot be reversed into your IP and is used only to limit spam and cheating.
• Standard server logs. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) as virtually every website's infrastructure does. We don't use these to identify or profile players.

2. What Stays on Your Device

Game preferences (like dismissing the coach tips) are kept in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.

3. What We Don't Do

• No advertising, ad networks, or advertising cookies.
• No analytics trackers or social media pixels.
• No sale, sharing, or monetization of any user data, ever.
• No collection of names, emails, or contact information through gameplay.

4. Infrastructure

The site and its leaderboard data run on established cloud hosting and database providers with their own security practices; data lives on their infrastructure in the United States.

5. Your Rights

You can ask us to remove any leaderboard entry you submitted (erasure), or to show you what's stored under your handle (access). Email us and we'll take care of it. Because we hold no account information, removal requests are matched on handle and submission details.

6. Children

Football Knower does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game requires no personal information to play. If you believe a child submitted identifying information as a handle, contact us and we will remove it promptly.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
